But Pinocchio must prove himself worthy of becoming a real boy and to help, she appoints Jiminy Cricket to act as his conscience. Gepetto's joy is great and he becomes determined to help Pinocchio become a real boy by sending him off to school. However, on the way, he is diverted by a scheming fox, J. Worthing Foulfellow.
